Today we’ll be installing a set of polymer bearings in the z axis of the 4040 masuter CNC. The supplied bearings in this model are a bit loose and that results in chatter in the cut which can cause broken bits and poor surface finish in the carve.
This is one of easies, cheapest upgrades that you can make to this budget cnc. I will also be changing out the Z bearings on my 3018 since this kit came with 4 bearings.
