When mounting small workpieces to the ShopBot Desktop, you can mount them anywhere on the bed, and then “drive” the bit over to the lower left corner of your workpiece to zero it out. But I’ve found it’s quicker to put a grid into your spoilboard, mount your piece at whatever location you like, then use the grid to indicate the piece’s position on your drawing.
