CNCDudez Coil Winder trying different wire sizes

Okay we have shown the machine winding small 0.05mm wire on
Guitar Pickup Bobbins.
But time to show some bigger wire examples.

I had some 1.0mm , 0.7mm, 0.4mm and 0.3mm wire hanging around. So I used this and did a mixture of bobbins.

You need to experiment to get the first layer spot on, then the rest simply follow the flow.

This the finished Production CNC Coil Winder that is being despatched this week to the Second batch of customers.

This machine is built to last and is sturdy as anything with no flex or wobble even a high speeds.

Constructed of aluminium extrusion and 6mm thick aluminium angle, topped with high quality linear bearings and rails this machine is designed for the job.

We could of gone for a cheaper contruction method such as rigid plastic and bars, but what is the point!

Windows Software is controlling the machine via the USB port..

We now use a DC motor controlled by a PWM circuit with encoder attached for monitoring the position/speed of the bobbin motor.

The Wire Feeder arm/tensioner is on a high quality ballscrew with near zero backlash and controlled via a stepper motor which gives us the resolution for very small wire.

Also fitted with sliding tailstock and rubber stop.

10mm Chuck Drill that can take a number of different bobbin holders as well as another rubber stop we supply with the machine.
This is attached to a gearbox for more torque and can go upto 2000RPM

Emergency Stop and electronic panel showing voltage and indicators so you can see what is going on.

Firmware can be upgraded over the USB port and all Software/Firmware is free.

Wind your own Coils for electronic projects.
Wind your own Guitar coils.
Wind your own Tattoo gun coils.
Basically it should cover most needs for small business/hobby needs.
