Carving out a prototype rock climbing hold on my CNC router. I built this setup from an openbuilds kit with lots of my own customizations.
The hold is made out of a piece of 2×6 pine until I get some poplar. The “router” is a 1.5kw water cooled spindle I got off amazon.
I held the block down by putting masking tape on my spoiler board, and masking tape on my 2×6 and then putting super glue between them.
Actual cut time was a little over an hour, most of it is sped up 14x some at 4x and actual speed in a couple places.
I designed the hold in Fusion 360 a free CAD/CAM program from Autodesk
