CNC Design Ltd 3D Printer Icing/Frosting Standard Extrude Method

***This video is playing back in real time, no speeding up, like many other videos out there showing extrusion***

We showed on our last 2 videos the work in progress of Extruding Icing/Frosting using the Punch and Extrude Method.

This is great for using the different shaped nozzles for making pretty decorations, and also we proved you could do letters using this method.

But we also wanted to try and get the machine to use the Standard Extrude Method, but using a big nozzle and smacking down a nice line of Icing/Frosting rather than build it up layer by layer with a small nozzle and Syringe as others have.

It worked well as shown in the video, but we still have a few tweaks to do yet.

We are simply using Google Sketchup to draw up the letters and then using Slic3r to slice it with some custom settings.

We will be trying chocolate and other food soon, so stay tuned.
