The drive motor of the main spindle is a Nema 23 stepper motor with a closed loop control.
The stepper motor is connected 1:1 to the rotary spindle via 2 HD gear wheels and has a holding torque of 3Nm.
this turning spindle is controlled by an external variable frequency generator with a cycle/direction signal.
With this simple clock generator, the speed can be set to 1200 rpm on the right and left.
the sensor on the shaft evaluates both the speed and the reference point of the drive spindle.
