1950's table saw becomes DIY CNC Machine Build – Part 1

As you may or may not know, I designed and built a DIY CNC machine a while back, mostly for cutting aluminum. I was never happy with the bed of the machine – and the aluminum extrusion t-slots I used caused all sorts of headaches.

After much scouring the internet, researching various options and internal debating – I finally ended up with the cast-iron table from a 1950’s Rockwell table saw, drilled and tapped for use on the DIY CNC.

In this video, I work on getting the new bed for the DIY CNC Machine Build cleaned and honed, before I dive deeper into making it work for this purpose.
