This is a foam cutter designed and built at Super Fablab Kochi for a client who needs to cut foam insulation profiles.

The Machine runs on Mach3 and is driven by six stepper motors, Nema 17 on X-axis and Nema 23 on Y-axis. Currently, it runs on 2-axis mode as that was the requirement, but the hardware with the addition of a wire tension manager is capable of doing 4-axis independent cutting.
