Welcome back to Aurora Tech Channel. Two weeks ago, I reviewed this Comgrow Robo CNC engraver. The stock 60W spindle can cut through the acrylic plate and make a bracket like this, but obviously, it was not powerful enough to make the same bracket with a one-eighth inch aluminum plate. As this machine is quite rigid compared to the CNC 3018, I decided to install a more powerful spindle on it and it should be able to make some aluminum parts.
Besides the spindle upgrade, I will also do some small upgrades to this machine. Let’s go through what I have done and the results.

I have included the STL, STEP and Fusion 360 format, so you can adjust the leadscrew nut hole according to what type of nut you have.
